FIDLAR : Cheap Beer

L.A.’s FIDLAR (an acronym, apparently, for “Fuck it dog, life’s a risk”) make the kind of simple, thrashy three-chord brat-rock that calls to mind old-skool punk’s 1977 first wave, and yet somehow their songs sound as vital as anything you’ll hear in 2012. Their self-titled album is ready for release in January via Mom+Pop (U.S.)/ Wichita (U.K), and will blow your mind if you like scuzzy, fuzzy rock & roll, but for now feast your eyes on the new video for recent internet anthem “Cheap Beer”. All together now: “I! Drink! Cheap! Beer! So! What! Fuck! You!”

About foamhands

My name is Michael Dix; I'm a decade or so past being down with the kids, but to me new music never gets old. Apparently I like music that sounds like faulty kitchen appliances and ritual slaughter; really I just like what I like, whether that happens to be indie, pop, punk, hip hop, metal, electronica, Afrobeat or jazz. Follow me on Twitter @FoamHandsBlog to receive notifications of new posts and the occasional random brain-fart, and please share links wherever you can. Enjoy!
