Ducktails : Letter Of Intent

Track artwork

After a whole lot of low-key activity over the past few years, Ducktails have followed frontman Matt Mondanile’s other band – Real Estate, for whom he plays guitar – to Domino Records, who will release their fourth album The Flower Lane on January 29. Originally an outlet for Mondanile’s solo experiments, the project has grown into a more collaborative effort; the new record features backing from members of Big Troubles, Cults’ Madeline Follin and Joel Ford and Daniel Lopatin, who contribute bass and synth respectively to lead single “Letter Of Intent”, which you can hear below.

About foamhands

My name is Michael Dix; I'm a decade or so past being down with the kids, but to me new music never gets old. Apparently I like music that sounds like faulty kitchen appliances and ritual slaughter; really I just like what I like, whether that happens to be indie, pop, punk, hip hop, metal, electronica, Afrobeat or jazz. Follow me on Twitter @FoamHandsBlog to receive notifications of new posts and the occasional random brain-fart, and please share links wherever you can. Enjoy!
