As long-time readers (or followers of Foam Hands on Twitter) might know, there is soon to be a new member of the FH family; very soon, in fact, as Mrs. Foam Hands’ due date is… today! As a result, I’m going to be taking a few weeks off from blogging about music in order to dedicate my time to looking after mother and baby, so to sign off with here’s another installment in an occasional series of stripped-down, no-hyperbole album recommendations. All of the below are either out now or set to be released over the forthcoming weeks, and remember: if you like what you hear please take the time to do some digging. Hopefully I’ll be back soon, and for those who want to know what music makes the baby dance/ sleep/ soil itself, keep an eye on my Twitter feed. Now, what’ll make for better birthing music: Julianna Barwick or Deafheaven….?

About foamhands

My name is Michael Dix; I'm a decade or so past being down with the kids, but to me new music never gets old. Apparently I like music that sounds like faulty kitchen appliances and ritual slaughter; really I just like what I like, whether that happens to be indie, pop, punk, hip hop, metal, electronica, Afrobeat or jazz. Follow me on Twitter @FoamHandsBlog to receive notifications of new posts and the occasional random brain-fart, and please share links wherever you can. Enjoy!
